freedom from OCD

Empathetic support for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in the South West.

״As a psychotherapist specialising in treating people living with OCD, I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help. I know though that with the right support, it is possible to live a life free from intrusive thoughts, obsessive worry and exhausting compulsions. I prioritise evidence based CBT with ERP and my goal is to support you towards recovery.״

About the South West OCD Clinic

Rebecca is a dedicated therapist offering remote and in person Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) to those living with OCD. She set up the South West OCD clinic as she cares deeply about people living with OCD and wants to support those who often suffer for years without access to high quality OCD specific therapy. By accessing support from the South West OCD clinic, you can be confident that you will be working with someone who understands OCD, has a high level of training and experience, and who can deliver treatments that have been shown to work.

What we offer

Treatment that WORKS

Generic counselling type therapies have been shown to be  unhelpful and even harmful to individuals with OCD. The gold standard treatment is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Rebecca trained to masters level at the University of Exeter and is accredited by the BABCP, meaning you can be confident that the care you receive will be of the highest standard.

Additional Support

Often when someone has been struggling with OCD for a long time, they may also struggle with difficulties such as depression and generalised anxiety. They may have a history of trauma or struggle with social anxiety.  CBT has been shown to be effective for a number of different anxiety disorders, and these difficulties can all be addressed alongside OCD treatment.

A safe space for you

Often when someone has been struggling with OCD for a long time, there is a lot of shame and guilt around their experiences. You will be met with empathy and kindness - there is nothing that will shock or surprise us.
